On Tuesday, the Joan W. and Irving B. Harris Theater for Music and Dance (205 E. Randolph Drive) announced its 2021-22 season of in-person performances, presented under the venue’s own banner and featuring many international artists.
Mainstage highlights include the Mexican tenor and bel canto specialist Javier Camarena (Oct. 6); the dancer and choreographer Akram Khan performing the solo work “XENOS” (Nov. 12-13); the Ragamala Dance Company, specialists in the Indian dance form of Bharatanatyam, performing “Fires of Varanasi: Dance of the Eternal Pilgrim” (Dec. 2); and the English National Ballet performing Khan’s “Creature” (Feb. 24-26, 2022).
